Borrow-a-Camera programs
John Ballou, current president, has made available his first digital stereocamera rig for new members to try out
This is a pair of 1.3MP point-and-shoot cameras that have the shutter releases wired together so that two pictures can be taken at once.
There is a manual for the cameras, a CD with the USB drivers to connect the camera to a PC, and a mount for the two cameras that can be used with a tripod.
This loaner stereocamera is available to club members for use for one month.
The club also has two film stereocameras (one Stereo Realist and one Kodak Stereo) to be able to loan for one-month periods to club members.
These three cameras will help introduce new stereographers to the joys of stereo photography without immediately having to buy a camera. It also may be an opportunity for more experienced photographers to try a new camera. Please contact a club officer for further information.
